March 8, 2021 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Please join the VPC and others for a free streaming event/discussion on the ramifications of using farmland for large solar arrays.

The event brings together Maryland residents and organizations with experience in the areas of planning, farming, and land preservation to discuss the issues around environment, land use and costs associated with the Renewable Portfolio Standard, particularly for the in-state solar carveout.

Where will we put it? Are there ways of planning the siting of solar that maximizes benefits and minimizes the negative impacts?

As we set about to totally restructure the generation and delivery of energy, shouldn’t we be spending the time necessary to reduce conflicts and make sure we are planning the best path forward to a clean and reliable energy future?

Please join us for an in-depth discussion and share your concerns.

You can register for the event on Eventbrite and join the discussion via YouTube or Facebook
