Maintaining Baltimore County’s cultural heritage through the arts and land preservation is central to the VPC’s efforts. Therefore, we encourage you to learn more about and participate in the VPC’s various programs focused on culture and preservation below.

  • Artists in the Valleys

    Works of art which depict the many scenic landscapes of Baltimore County is another way to honor these areas and raise awareness of land use and the enormous value of land preservation. The goal of the Artists in the Valleys program is to provide opportunities for local artists to gain access to scenic landscapes in Baltimore County.

  • Art for Land’s Sake

    The VPC hosts a special event every other year, Art for Land’s Sake. This is a well-attended event that features the work of approximately 50 top artists. Each show is staged at a member’s property in a barn that is temporarily transformed into a one-of-a-kind art gallery.
